BKG and Kyle Glen Ullsperger

A multifaceted entertainer and visual artist, I bring a unique blend of creativity and practical experience to the world of media production. With a keen eye for photography and a robust portfolio in both on-and-off-camera roles, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of the visual storytelling process. Currently operating from the vibrant Ingraham Street Studios in Bushwick, Brooklyn, I have immersed myself in a creative environment that fosters innovation and collaboration. My work is characterized by a dynamic approach to visual arts, seamlessly integrating elements of performance and production to create compelling content. Leveraging my diverse skill set and creative intuition, I am dedicated to pushing the boundaries of traditional media and exploring new avenues of artistic expression.

BKG stands for “Bombro Koyo Ganda,” a song by legendary artist/producer Bonobo. My photography relates directly to the spiritual, energetic, ceremonial, and corporeal chants used in his piece. The chants derive from Morocco’s Gnawa music dating back to pre-Islam.

BKG photography is intended to evoke, move, mystify, and perpetuate your spiritual and physical emotions, just as the Gnawa tradition does. A tradition which calls upon the seven spirits- represented by seven colors- to reconnect, reintegrate, and rebalance human consciousness and energy with the universal energies supporting divine creativity.
